Chemical Peeling

The Chemical Peeling is a procedure applied to revive the skin that looks dull and dead. It is used for the treatment of the dark-colored stains and acne scars on the skin. It also tightens the skin and reduces superficial wrinkles. The chemical peeling agents are alpha hydroxy acids. These contain glycolic acid obtained from the sugarcane which is the most preferred, the lactic acid obtained from the milk, salicylic acid obtained from aspirin and mandelic acid. Since the chemical peeling stimulates the new cell production from below, the skin does not get thinner as opposed to popular belief. The rough and uneven layer becomes thinner and the healthy and smooth skin comes up. The moisture of the skin increases and the pores gets smaller. The applications are determined as 4-8 sessions according to the person’s needs with 1-2 weeks of the interval. It is necessary to protect the skin from physical and chemical effects such as sunburnt, tanning bath after the procedure. It is suggested to apply especially in autumn and winter.
